AFRO-PUNK

... the other Black experience

im so frustrated right now. i wanted to see the Carolina Chocolate Drops when  they came to houston and of course they play to the most hoity toity bougie upper crust live music bar/venue in the city. MCGONIGIELS MUCKY DUCK...fuck the duck seriously

i really didnt think the show was gonna cost 30$ to see them. really? this is a poor folks band are you serious?  the beautiful lead singer plays the damn kazoo lol wtf??? tthat part was awesome !!

very well played might i add...look it up on youtube.

go to the door explain to them i dont have any money and they are like...sorry :) meanwhile i look at the people that paid to see them and they are ALL WHITE not a dot up in this place...reLLY?? why do these so called independent bands charge so much money i have seen free shows. i have seen broke ass hs college students play for NADA. anyways they told us we can buy beers but we gotta drink and sit outside whaaat? i understand. ppl actually paid 30$ so its cool.

i snuck in...well i went inside to pay for my drink because the waitress forgot about us and was able to witness 3 songs. then was told very rudely TO GET OUT!! after we paid. lol thaaaanks. we could have just snuck out the back patio was open and we were the only ones being made to sit outside.

im tired of taking time to look up an artist dig them see they are gonna be in town and cant afford to see them live. i really really didnt think 30$ is reasonable. but how the fuck are you gonna get paid and be able to tour right? i guess my broke ass i gonna have to just catch everything on youtube.

if anyone can list some free shows on this group...if you here of any...please...lets help eachother out.

i will do it too!! it doesnt even have to be free but nothing over 15...i mean afropunk fest was free!!! how is this possible?

peace...
