"Repass" sounds great. Will RSVP. I'm a filmmaker also, in production on my first feature "Afronell", about a female teen punk guitarist from South Central. Someone here at Afropunk expressed interest in posting a profile on the film, but haven't heard back.
A meet up would be cool. Wasn't aware of Griffith Park drum circle either!
@ Lark: That looks like an amazing event. I wish I could go!

We must plan a meetup. I used to round up of few of us (some young and the rest of us kinda old) folks the past few years, we would just meet up for dinner and laughs somewhere. A couple of times we met here downtown near where I work at MOCA. Quite fun. I'd love to meet up on a Sunday: later in November? What say you all?
BlkGRRL show is looking for music to play on the show. Check out the show and info below. Don't sleep on it!
LARK: haven't been on here in ages but glad to see you repping your show here on AfroPunk!!
And yes! Drum circle every Sunday at Griffith Park (by merry-go-round) When is the meet up?
P.S. to answer the Thamani question: old folks like me still go to Leimert Park drum circle here and there. Some younger friends of mine still go there now and then.
I love that drum circle tradition in Leimert Park, Thamani, I've seen it most of my life (I grew up near there). And I've heard from family and friends about great shows at KAOS Network space for shows. My nephew told me the people running it are super great. Really now that you mention the drum circle: y'all local folks should have a nice meetup there in the park on a Sat or Sunday. Sunday AP would be great!
