AFRO-PUNK

... the other Black experience

this is just a group for fun of course, the mohawk in the top img, I forget where it's from. ...anybody got a pic of a mohawk from Sudan? They were the 1st tribe I ever saw in a pic with the braided style, similar to what everybody's gettin at the barbershops (posers!) now.

I am very new to the punk (alt in general) scene, and of course I was lame enough to think I was a genius when I came up with the idea of a braided fauxhawk uninfluenced. LOL, silly me. Still, cool to find out that there are so many more examples of it.
I love my mohawk. It's convenient. Someone told me to get braids up the side. I just gave them the gas face. I like it cut low on the sides.
I decided I'm just going to shave it! I'll save the braids for another time.
Well, I havent seen one on online. but there is this book "In Praise of Black women: Vol1. ancient african queens" there are alot of pictures and depictions of ancient african with all types of Mohawks. After I first saw and read some of the book a few years back I cut my hair into a Mohawk. I was glad to wear it proud. I believe, if I remember correct the well known people of that time who sported the Hawk were the mossai people.
