I think about Locing Sometimes.....
again. But I never follow through. I start off by making some decent two strand twists all over my head...but by the 2nd week, It's past time to wash it...then I get the urge to take them down and detangle lol.
I guess I still have to get the proper mentality going. The mentality that will tell me to just 'let go'. ..and that nappy hair 'will loc because that is what it's supposed to do' ...or some kind of mental pep talk like that.
I know that locs can be taken apart. I've seen people do it online. But for most people, they are permanent. I think it's the permanence that scares me. Watching my hair transform before my very eyes will be so weird!
On the other side, it's the freedom of locs that's attractive to me. Detangling my hair every week after a wash isn't fun. It's more like a chore sometimes...even with the best conditioners.
Think about it. Being 'comb free'! wow, what a concept!

i love locs. everytime i see lisa bonets i swoon so hard! i admit part of the reason is i love long hair n we all kno locs can grow so long so quickly! only thing stopping me is maintenance i dont have patience plus its expensive.
