Informal gathering...

Hey all.

Anyone interested in an informal gathering of the masses sometime in the next couple months. There are a lot of us in this group. I'm thinking music, food, and drink in the East Village. I've got the spot picked out, I just need you all to make it a party. Trying to feel it there is any interest before I plan details.

Anybody in?

hmm, I've been waiting to catch Earl Greyhound for a while...at some point we should have spots that are unofficial ( but official ) places to meet up and hang...

OK... it seems like we have some interest! I was thinking a Saturday night, maybe Aug 7. That gives everyone time to get the word out. I work at this bar on Avenue C called teneleven. Though I don't work that night, we can take over the music for the evening. There is also a small stage and sound system if any of you all want to show off your talent (I know there are some folks out there that are itching for a captive audience.).

Else, we can all just hang, have a drink, swap stories, and listen to some tunes.

Ideas? Thoughts?

I'd like to test a dj set out on fresh ears...it's electronic and rock and dancey, some remixes? Let me know if that's possible / tolerable

Ok. I've heard from several folks that this should happen, so let's make it official!

Next Saturday, August 7, at 9pm, we are having a gathering of the masses.

Get the word out; bring yourselves; bring your friends; bring your guitars; bring your iPods; bring your laptops... whatever. It will be an open format meet/greet/listen/exchange/have-fun type of gathering.

Start a new discussion on AP; add it to facebook; post it on your other boards. The more folks we get, the better it will be.

It is a bar, so it will be 21+. Sorry. We will look to open it to everyone next time 'round.

I will be at Projektfest and Dracula's Ball in Philly this weekend if anyone's going.
