Whos going to be around @ 50?

I was watching Sinbad (the comedian's) new special and he was saying how kids today don't even know what real music is. He started asking who they thought would be still be performing at 50 that's famous now. Needless to say it was a short list. I mean Tina Turner is 70 and you can still see her in concert. Can you see Beyonce trying to do the booty dance at 70? LOL!

Who do you think will still be relevant 30 years from now?

Off the top, Id say none of these above ground slackers that past for music simply for the fact that they happen to be played on the radio & MTV/BET 30 times a day... Ok, maybe my Old Kodger is coming out....Let me think about it....

I would say Mos Def, but after that bogus-assed show I saw 2 weeks ago, he & Doom will be lucky if they performing @ the end of this YEAR!!! :-\

Lyfenlyn, when I saw your thread title, I thought it was a question directed at US. You know, we old ass AP's over 30! I started thinking, here I am now 41. When I first came on AP I was a young ass 39. Now, I'm a fine ass 41! (I'm typing 'ass' a lot on this response. I wonder why?) Okay, so my old ASS will probably still be on AfroPunk at 50! I know that wasn't the question. But I'm giving that answer anyway. ASS! lol

Some of yall are almost 50 anyway! What will AP look like in a decade? Will the most attractive talented, articulate, fine ass members be in their 50's? Yes!

Well, long ago,dared bother about finding the formulae to inmortality. So I challenged the gods, that if they keeps this dark little heart keeps beating. Or, Fuck me! even if Not . I plan to be here. I will be the 80 year old with the spikey collar screaming "Play some Bauhaus" and buying all the kids drinks at the Local Gothyclub. Now that is fricken spooky eh? Hey little Girl; what some candy? Amber I just remembered something funny happened to me. I went to the Northern Soul club, and after hopping on the dancefloor for a long while, I went to ladies room, and one of the young Latinas came up to me "That's so COOOL you out there still dancing and having fun." Oh my, that's cute and sweet, but it also means that I don't look young anymore. I accept that, gotta make the best of who I am at any given moment.
