New on the Scene

Recently I decided that in order to get myself more active, I would try skate boarding. I know a few people who skate and I've watched videos of pro skaters and just regular folks who skate, and I find that I want to be part of that. But I need a place to find cheap skateboards. I know of only one store in my city (Chicago) and their boards are pretty expensive. So what would any of you say would be a good way to get a cheap one?? I want to start as soon as the weather gets warmer here.
