AFRO-PUNK

... the other Black experience

There are many lovelies to celebrate in rebel society, but who are your favorites, and why?

Have these folks inspired you to go off in search of your self, and etc? Are you your own inspiration?

For me, Shingai Shoniwa (musical genius- seriously), Honeychild Coleman, Aunt Keke, Tamar Kali, and OMG are legendary talents; all different in their own right, and startingly unique. Dragons of Zynth, Dwarfstarr, and No Surrender are also vibrantly ethereal and inspirational to the independent heart.

I had tears in my eyes watching her perform Afropunk '08. She commands the stage. Never seen anything like it *_^
