AFRO-PUNK

... the other Black experience

Not the kind you eat, but the kind that eats you - be it road-rashes to strawberry gashes we of ink are going to scrape, poke, whatever... our tattoos.  A car battery scraped down my shin and after about a month the scab finally fell off.  The scar, pink & rather opaque, but not completely, is no bigger than an inch long.  Being a newbie tattooer curious about after-damage care - Oh I'll tattoo back over it, I just don't how long I should wait.

Have any of you any experience in these situations?

not too too sure, but they told me i had to wait a year after surgery to tattoo over my scars (uggggh)
Its best to wait about 2 years. scars change, who knows in a few years, you may not even see it anymore. but yeah, it takes a few years for the new skin to settle. remember scar skin is not the same as the regular. it wont stretch, heal, or take to ink in the same ways. also, seeing as how it is only a few months old, i would worry about the wound reopening.
