First Tattoo!!

Hello All!

I'm super geeked! I'm getting my first tattoo on Oct. 1st on my forearm. I have no idea what to expect! I designed the tattoo myself, so it means alot to me! What was your first tattoo and did it hurt!?

LOl! Yeah! It looks like a sunflower! Thats my favorite flower! The sun looks like the flower part and the ankh/music sign looks like the stem/leaf!

I met the artist Simeon Huuti http://www.tahititatou.com/simeon_efraima-engl_3.html and just had him draw. I think of it as a shield protecting the tattoo beneath.

I love it! It's very Piscean. I got my first tattoo when I was 19. It's a black rose with two drops of blood dripping from the petal. It is on my lower back. I originally wanted on my side but my tattoist was kind enough to warn me that for a first timer that would cause a great deal of pain.

The outlining was the most painful part but I thought I handled it well. By the time he got to shading in everything I had fallen asleep. The whole thing took about 40 minutes.

Update: So I got "A" tattoo today! Not the one I originally posted!! I did that to get acculmatedd to the tattoo artist and to the whole tattooing process! I got a cupcake with stars around it since Im a baker. Well I absolutely love it!! He did it with black, gray and white ink and its showing perfectly and beautifully! Its very, very, very swollen! He did an excellent job. Everytime he got close to the bone it hurt like a mother's scorn! Lol! But other than that it was a different indescribable feeling, but it was very tolerable!! I will update with pictures in another forum! Keep a look out!! :)
