New Yorkers: Where do you go for your colorful tats?

i just got a new tattoo yesterday and the guy that did it is amazing.  place called brooklyn ink on fulton st. near kingston avenue (c train to kingston throop) upstairs from some weird office and a pizza parlor.  Ask for israel, not the "other" guy.  and the prices are great too.

I'm not a New Yorker but my tatto artist is there. lol. He began doing my tats when we both were in SF and one of the reasons why I chose him over a lot of the well-known artists I met there in SF was because he was the first one who took the time to explain things. He would give people what they wanted, but he would make sure they knew if there would be significant changes due to the location chosen over time, etc. He would never say "this is what you want", like I heard from others but he would say "we can do it, but you might not like it in a couple of months because of.....". he would also treat the smallest of tattoos as important as larger ones bringing him more money. Hopefully he's still as beautiful and humble and talented today.
