LOLZ awesome good for you. I hate when parents act like you should be a spitting image of their morals, likes/ dislikes, personality, what they value, their lifestyle etc. They build the foundation but its our choice whether to agree with everything they spit in our direction.

my parents hate tattoos n piercings. they call my sister and i circus freaks -_-...my twin sis has eight i only have one of a tiny butterfly. i want more though :) i always wanted a tattoo b/c they are beautiful and i'm into art. my sister drew all of her tats freehand and got em done they're badass! i got mine when i turned 18 at some random spot in brooklyn, next time i'm going to do more research and then go do my next ones.
my parents aren't too happy but they must live with it. i grew up in an extremely strict household! till this day my dad says tats are disgusting. o well his prob!

I love tattoos, so do my parents! lol My mom never got one because she was born diabetic, just couldn't work out back then.

I haven't gotten one done yet though. I guess I'm really trying to design what I want still. I've always been inspired by the absolute magnitude of beauty a tattoo can have. It's a form of art and I love art. The pain of it seems to be a part of the experience in that art too. ^_~ Once I get one, I'll have a better story to tell.
