LOLZ awesome good for you. I hate when parents act like you should be a spitting image of their morals, likes/ dislikes, personality, what they value, their lifestyle etc. They build the foundation but its our choice whether to agree with everything they spit in our direction.

my parents hate tattoos n piercings. they call my sister and i circus freaks -_-...my twin sis has eight i only have one of a tiny butterfly. i want more though :) i always wanted a tattoo b/c they are beautiful and i'm into art. my sister drew all of her tats freehand and got em done they're badass! i got mine when i turned 18 at some random spot in brooklyn, next time i'm going to do more research and then go do my next ones.
my parents aren't too happy but they must live with it. i grew up in an extremely strict household! till this day my dad says tats are disgusting. o well his prob!

I love tattoos, so do my parents! lol My mom never got one because she was born diabetic, just couldn't work out back then.

I haven't gotten one done yet though. I guess I'm really trying to design what I want still. I've always been inspired by the absolute magnitude of beauty a tattoo can have. It's a form of art and I love art. The pain of it seems to be a part of the experience in that art too. ^_~ Once I get one, I'll have a better story to tell.

My mom got one when she divorced my dad after 25 years of marriage. It's the kanji for 'bitch' and it made her feel empowered and all that jazz. It was her first tattoo. I also purchased my dad's first professional tattoo while I was in college. He had one before that, an eagle he did with Indian ink when he was 10. Needless to say, my tattooing was never a problem with my parents.

Back on topic, my first tattoo was of a scorpion (I'm a scorpio). It's on my shoulder. Since then I've gotten rather large pieces done on my forearms (an Amy Brown piece and a Stargate influenced Anubis) and I'm considering getting a sleeve. I have 8 tattoos total and I know I'm not done.

I am 18 and I got my first last year... my mom hated the idea but I have been wanting one since I bought my first tattoo magazine by accident when I was 11 or 12. After six years, my mom stopped caring so... I have a skeleton key on my back, a memorial tattoo for my dad who died of a heart attack when I was 5. She cried when she saw it, not because she was upset but because she was happy that I carried my memorial to him on my skin... Now my mom wants one...

Imma have to go get it fixed never again am i getting a tattoo in someones crib whose just learning. Thank god its small and i think it can still be salvaged. Just waiting for it to heal completely to assess it.

hmm well I got my first one when I was 16 ( of a caffeine molecule) after school. I hid it pretty well from my mother ( she used to hate them but now wants one of her own.) but then I ended up in the hospital at 17 and she saw all of them (no hiding in a hospital gown).
