... the other Black experience

We are all hotties up in this peice. A guy referred to me as a BBW, and I told him 'I aint claimin that set.' He was a little confused by my reaction. "Hey I am who and what I am, no labels needed."

I get worn out sometimes by the scruitny and opinions of other people about black women's bodies, shapes, health, beauty and so forth. Not to mention the endless hair splitting discussions over 'what is a plus size and what is a BBW.' like what is the number.

Gorgeous is gorgeous. If you love yourself it will show, you radiate confidence and are naturally sexy.

Am I the only one who gets a little bent out of shape over all the labeling that goes on?

"I aint' claimin that set." HAHAHAAH!!!! Lyfen thanks for saying that, that cracked me UP!!!!!
Gorgeous is gorgeous you are so right. I think the BBW label is good for fantasy and in guys/girls minds, but really no other reason to do that. I have met men and women of all stripes that I thought was hotter than hell, all shapes and sizes.
SD I didn't know that either until I first looked around at porn sites, several years ago. The actual term I first saw on that magazine yeeeeears ago for plus size women. Actually my boyfriend said his exwife is one of those professional plus size models and is quite successful. I think I don't feel good about myself because healthwise I don't feel good and I have no energy. It's like you have to take care of yourself above all and that makes you enjoy who you are as a woman, regardless of your size.
I know there are issues with the adrenal gland in some women, I know when I started omitting certian foods from my daily rotation or eating them every sparingly then my energy level went up. I have to go easy on the wheat, dairy and corn. I can't eat eggs unless I wanna stay in the bed all day either. Once I figured out what made me tired (sugar is a culprit as well. It doesn't make me hyper it does the opposite) then I got a handle on it. I can eat sugar but only a little. I can't have like 3 sodas, a small bag of cookies, a candy bar and some skittles and not expect to be in the emergency room with my eyeballs rolling back in my head. There are suppliments you can take as well to boost you as well. They are very inexpensive, under $15 as well. I posted a thing in the health section a couple months back about Adrenal Fatigue Syndrome.

I don't know what a BBW is? but I'll probably find out when I read more comments. But "plus size" does turn me off a little. and also the way they design and price plus size clothing as if they use that much more material. why am I being forced to pay $60 or more for cute clothes cut for me and which they are sometimes severely mis-shaped and make me feel not as sexy. and dont get me started on the damn bras
Yeah plus size clothing can be pretty demeaning. Like you are supposed to walk around in a box hiding yourself.
