freedom ep from ma g hosted by mick boogie and rcrdlbl

February 8, 2013

We were pleasantly surprised to find the Freedom project EP from rapper/producer/artist Ma G. It includes 11 solid tracks of piano, big drums, strings, and even a little bit of clarinet, examining Americana. His thoughtful lyrics are a refreshing change from the garbage that clogs the mainstream, without losing any ‘cred or true sense of hip hop. It’s a tape that sounds good in your ears. It’s hype without being “hyped” and that’s the best part. Check it!

Following up his 2009 solo release of “I Ain’t Goin’ Back to Retail!”, MaG returns to the booth with “freedom.”, hosted by Roc Nation’s Mick Boogie and sponsored by RCRDLBL.com. Featuring guest appearances from Arthur Lewis, Tre DeJean and Archie Green, and production credits from the likes of Astronote, Kuddie Fresh, Chanes, and Ta-Ku, amongst others.
