‘pose’ is renewed for season 2 on fx, who’s excited?!

FX has ordered a SECOND SEASON for the beloved ‘Pose’ and to that we say YASSSS MUTHA! The one-of-a-kind series centering Ball Culture society in New York City has been a breath of fresh air and a blessing for the community, which has been starved for authentic Black LGBTQ+ content. Not only is Pose iconic for being so electrifyingly well-made, it also features the largest cast of transgender series regulars EVER!

Mj Rodriguez, Dominique Jackson, Indya Moore, Hailie Sahar and Angelica Ross are the trans women who steal the series, forming a part of the largest recurring cast of LGBTQ+ actors ever scripted. Janet Mock is co-executive producer and has also directed an episode, showing us that Ryan Murphy, Brad Fulchuk and Steve Canals gave Black queer creatives free reign to make the kind of show that the community has been waiting for. We couldn’t be more excited! A second season could mean that this might not be a moment, but the starting of the movement.
