trump administration to go after affirmative action in college, thinks it discriminates against white applicants

Sooooo… What’s good Trump? You don’t want us in college now? Heard you.

The latest from America’s head executioner is a new low even for him, as he focuses his guillotine on the long-standing practice of Affirmative Action. Why, you ask? Because apparently it’s racist against white people. Interesting.

Some condensed backstory:

Many–including Mr. Trump–may not know it, but the notion of Affirmative Action really began in the mid-1800’s, with that 40 acres and a mule we were barely promised and never received. Though presidents Roosevelt, Truman, and Eisenhower worked to apply the ideal of making up for historical oppression to equality in employment, it was the Civil Rights Movement that really brought attention back to the need for leveling the playing field under the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment.

With JFK being the first to use the term “Affirmative Action” in its modern context, the coinciding programs aimed to protect people of color in the workplace and educational fields from the resin of discrimination.

Fast forward to 2017: Our current President has decided educational opportunities for white people are in jeopardy. Planning to reallocate funds from the Justice Dept’s Civil Rights, the Trump Administration promises to work on “investigations and possible litigation related to intentional race-based discrimination in college and university admissions.”

Now, this is problematic in thousands of ways. First of all, Trump is definitely old enough to know that reverse racism is a myth that–like the Boogie Man–and should be killed. Second of all: not only has he decided our reparations and natural right to higher education are played out, but he is also continuing in his quest to divide the nation, something much more dangerous than delusional disparity.

We’re still being given a taste of what he means by “Make America Great Again.” It’s clear that “Great”= 1950, and “Again”= ASAP. How you gonna enslave us, discriminate against us, give us a band-aid, and then rip it off to give it to someone in a custom-made iron cast… that we helped make?

No analogy is clever enough to translate this tomfoolery. It’s just fuel to the fire of our protest, try again Mr. Trump.
