- I'm a modern nerdy type: I enjoy strange and specific things, however I still have social skills and enjoy going out from time to time. I love reading but I rarely have time to write anymore. I like piercings and tattoos and there's nothing better than wasting time in a barnes and noble or a random comic book store. I love viruses and reading up on biological warfare, WWII, medical pathology and psychology when I get time to myself. I'm always reading up on something. When I'm hanging out with friends, I'll occasionally hit up a bar or club but not often.
Warning: I have a serious obsession with rapper/actor/writer Donald Glover/Childish Gambino! Been a huge fan of his since '05 and now he's finally getting recognized by many for his talent. He's humble and makes Black Nerds like myself feel like they have a place :-D

Okay, first off, never feel like an ass on my account and_ the deed has been done: "the eagle has landed and they are calling for snow." Or: the fat man fell but he didn't break his eggs_or_ the new video has been posted, if you insist on having it said in plain English. (you never know who's listening so we should sometimes speak in code. I'll be Potato Head and you, Miss. Roy Rogers.)
Second: yes, very sad about your grandmother. I wonder what happened to her. I use to be tight with my mother prior to my 17th year. Things have gone south ever since. Conforming to the given social standards is her thing. Seems to think that if it's not mainstream, it's not real. I don't hate the woman but she does pluck my nerves. I hang up on her sometimes when she starts to talking the stupid shit. I'm 54 years old for Goddesses sake and the woman seems to think me and my two grown-ass brothers are still 12 years old. My brothers put up with this but, as i say, it irritates the fuck out of me and I don't put up with it for long. I have no problem hanging up the phone on her when I need too, because I mean what I say: I don't want to hear this stupid shit. That statement is usually followed by a practical demonstration of it's meaning. Conventional minds are boring as fuck!
Three: "American Gods" sounds very interesting. I will check it out. Thank you.

Damn! Truth is way stranger, even than jokes! This fairy person, is she black? How old is she? She's interesting.
I can see why that picture in The Black Book would have disturbed you. I've never seen it but it sounds horrible. The expression on the faces of the onlookers, what a sad, horrible thing. I'm thinking Jesus must be a fool to love everybody.
It would be interesting if that little white girl grew up and learned to reject the racism that she was taught. How would she feel seeing that picture of herself then? It's stuff like that which makes me loose hope in human beings but it would be a mistake to surrender the world to one's enemies.
Your grandmother reminds of another grandmother a friend of mine from Sweden had. He said he could remember her and his mother arguing because the mother enrolled her son in a christian school. The grandmother still worshipped the old Viking gods.
Thank Goddess getting old doesn't necessarily mean selling out. As Ayn Rand put it; "To reach at the end of your life the vision you started out with is to hold an unchanging youth." Some of us manage to do this.
Dreamed in different languages? Never heard that one before. It would really be wild if such dreams came with subtitles! You sound like me with the dream in color thing, you've heard it before but still don't quite believe it. I envy your friend's black and white dreams and I'm jealous of you for your access to your grandmother's books. I bet she has some interesting stuff.
