Fuse fearsome dedication with five diversely talented musicians, a mind-boggling work-ethic and a positive mission, and you’re facing an unstoppable force. Welcome to Detroit Mutant Radio, an Atlanta via Detroit/LA rock-fusion hybrid, whose tasty tunes, stylistic diversity and frenetic live show are paying dividends with a hard-to-ignore street buzz.
Originally formed as a backing band for a Detroit rap duo featuring now-frontman Cleaven R. Creech, Detroit Mutant Radio crystallized into its current format after re-locating to Los Angeles in mid-2004. Now residing in Atlanta, they are poised to break out nationally. Having graced stages up and down California’s Sunset Strip: Whiskey A Go-Go to the LA House of Blues, as well as the ATL’s Hard Rock Café and many more venues. The vanguard outfit of rock fusion visionaries have crafted an intense stage performance that receives a positive reception everywhere they play.
The bands effort in the studio has garnered many industry professional interests. Most notably is ‘DMR’s debut album, Cash N Burn. A truly multi-faceted record produced by LA producer/engineer Matt Forger (Michael Jackson) and 10 time Grammy Award winner engineer/mixer Rafa Sardina. The project fuses uplifting, socially-conscious lyrics with raucous rock dynamics, all kept captivating with cultured twin-guitar interplay, bustling turntables, and a muscular, in-the-pocket rhythm section. This stylistic diversity also shines in their latest single release- In the Rain.
However eclectic Detroit Mutant Radio’s sound gets running the gamut from Faith No More groove-metal to Run DMC hip-hop - the heart of their songs remains constant: It always flows around the structure of the words and what the message is, Creech stresses. We’re about awareness...Live; 'DMR' is all about energy, as Creech and his cohorts fully realize their unique inner stars, true born performers who simultaneously evoke the impact of Prince, the Rolling Stones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Doors, to Rage Against the Machine.
With an arresting debut album on the streets, new single available on iTunes, and a snowballing live rep, Detroit Mutant Radio is set to reap the rewards of their skills and sacrifice. I guarantee that if you come at us with an open mind you’ll walk away knowing that we put 110% out there, and that its truly genuine, Creech promises.
You can be my friend if...
YOU PAY CLOSE ATTENTION with an OPEN MIND and KEEP YOUR THIRD EYE FOCUSED on the LIGHT!

LPN RADIO features alternative urban bands in the genres of rock, punk, metal and alternative hip-hop. I am also interested in introducing your band, via the LPN interview series,Q:15, a daily 15 minute segment, where two songs of featured guests are played, with an interview in between.
