I'm one of the original Alterna-Negro's from the 80's scene in Philadelphia. I grew up in Allentown, Pennsylvania - my 3rd grade teacher was the wife of the Grand Wizard of the local Klan.

I say it loud, "I'm Black and I'm proud!"

I would like to form a band (I sing) that would do covers of Hole, The Rolling Stones, The Faces, Alice Cooper, Iggy & The Stooges, good hard rock stuff.

Way too many to mention - Prince, Hole, Led Zeppelin, Elvis Costello, The Monkees, Hendrix, Pink Floyd, just about everything. Oooh, but no Dead, Matthews, or Phish - I draw the line at jam bands, and not in a good Aerosmith way.

I have none, and don't think it's in the cards for me. And I teach Visual Art to high school kids in Bushwick Brooklyn...so I doubt it.

Unless I marry someone VERY wealthy. You know how hard it is to raise a kid in NYC? Private schools are very expensive.
