Thanks for the article.....I really enjoyed it.
You have to respect the man.
He doesn't compromise on who he is or what he does.
I think it always has been one of his strongest qualities as an artist.
I find him a great inspiration.

Lord Q here, Founder of LA PUNK NOIR andLAPUNKNOIR.com. In an effort to promote Black and Brown bands and artists that don’t fit within the narrow perceptions of mainstream radio, I have started an online show,LPN RADIO. I am writing to ask that your band submit songs and links to your site to be featured on the show.
As you may be aware, LPN is the hub of West Coast Alternative Urban music, news and style. For bands and artists that Black radio has no room for and mainstream radio is afraid of, the LPN platform is available to you. LPN RADIO features alternative urban bands in the genres of rock, punk, metal and alternative hip-hop. If your band is interested in these opportunities, follow the submission guidelines:
Some Los Angeles Venues:
My boyfriend and I dig the following venues:
1. The Talking Stick (Venice) http://www.thetalkingstick.net/-try to cut in on one of their Mosiac Monday sets (a big turnout); 2. Canter's Deli on Fairfax http://www.cantersdeli.com/kibitzroom/; 3. Unurban Cafe on Pico (West405) http://www.myspace.com/unurbanopenmike; 4. I've only gone to El Cid (Silverlake) for the Flamenco dinner performance, but they also have open mics http://www.myspace.com/OpenMicatElCid. Hope this helps
