- Dennis Leroy Kangalee is an artist, actor, filmmaker and front man of NYC's own The Children of Warhol. Former National Black Theater director and maverick of the NY Underground, Kangalee has collaborated with such artistic luminaries at The Last Poets and Paul Mooney. His 2002 film “As an Act of Protest” became an instant cult favorite, ultimately taking him around the country and abroad to Europe where he lived for a few years. More recently, he has published a book of writings Lying Meat and will be dropping a spoken word LP with The Children of Warhol this fall.
Dennis Leroy Kangalee's groundbreaking new play "Gentrified Minds" premiered April 2011 at the NY Downtown Urban Theater Festival and will embark on an extended run this Fall.

- The Children of Warhol are less an actual musical band and more of an artistic concept. Nevertheless the practical application of the Nomad's theories are embodied by the blood & guts of Rob Kuch who plays guitar, Abner Sankofa who tears up the bass, and Giggles X who brings it all home on the drums. Their original songs accompany the Nomad Junkie's poetic ruminations on the gentrification and destruction of New York City & its diverse, spunky, working class culture.
