elizabeth warren knows black trans lives matter
As we previously reported, last week the groundbreaking LGBTQ forum led by Angelica Ross took place. Many of our democratic candidates were present for this necessary gathering, including Elizabeth Warren. Warren exemplified a stellar example of what a candidate should be: compassionate and unabashedly vocal for those without the privilege.
Warren said the name of every trans Black person whose murder has been recorded thus far this year in an effort to make clear to the world that Black Trans Lives Matter.

Though the forum began with each candidate being asked what they would do in their first 100 days of office, Warren opted out of answering because she would rather show than tell. According to media personality, journalist and activist Ashlee Marie Preston (who was in attendance), Warren’s dedication to basic rights for trans people was made clear throughout the night.
