Fanesha Fabre
About Me
Fanesha Fabre’,(born March 21, 1982 in Dominican Republic) Singer/Songwriter daughter of Vicente Fabre’, Legendary Dominican Painter and Sculptor.Fanesha’s journey into the music world began as she studied classical guitar during her teens and it was then that she realized that music was her calling.

Fanesha explored acting; dedicating three years to drama, becoming part of an Independent film called “All Men Are Beasts” and also modeled for the VIBE derived magazine “BLAZE” at the young age of 16.

Fabre began to study singing when she joined the Unity on the Bay Choir under the direction of Karen Jones Jazz singer and daughter of the late bassist for the Count Basie Band, Eddie Jones and noted jazz historian, Elinor Jones.During her time with the Unity on the Bay choir, Fanesha took part of local concerts and became part of an ensemble that accompanied not only Karen Jones, but many local Jazz artists including Nicole Henry, Maryel Epps, Pianist and singer Thom Sessa, Val woods and husband Blues Guitarist Ike Woods. During her years with Unity on The Bay choir Fanesha enjoyed the opportunity of singing backup for the legendary Jennifer Holliday at a Valentine’s Day Concert in February of 2003.

During her time with the Heart of the World Choir, Fanesha befriended Trombonist and composer John Speck. Speck has been a master at his skill for over 30 years and worked with many great artists including Bacilos, Phish and with Latin Grammy nominees The Spam All Stars. For a short period of time Fanesha became a part of Speck’s ensemble the Bacon Bits. The Bacons Bits Ensemble combined topnotch instrumentalists, including Sammy Figueroa famous Jazz percussionist who toured with Miles Davis and joined the Bits in various occasions.

The Bacon Bits’ music was described as “a colorful palette of electronic sounds in a percussive performance mode”.Fanesha and her Partner in Crime Laurie Johnson were the female backup vocals for this ensemble that performed every Friday night at the bohemian lounge/restaurant “190” in the heart of the Design District, Miami, Fl. Before the break up of The Bacon Bits Ensemble they were featured in an article in Travel and Leisure magazine August 2003.

Fanesha has taken time out for herself to work on her own compositions. Fanesha’s sultry and welcoming voice accompanied by Downtempo/Trip Hop beats takes you to her inner most feelings, and welcomes you to her world..She recently released her first album "AIM" with production from "Werdplay" of the group Blestenation, Chuck Inglish and The Blended Babies who have worked with The Cool Kids, Kid Cudi, Damon Dash, Tech N9ne,Matthew Santos and Twista among many others. Also, she took part of the MBC Digital label’s (Blestenation) new mixtape out now. Artists on this mixtape include; Travis Barker, the Cool Kids,Lil Cease, Ladytron, Maynard, Mic Geronimo, French Montana, Jadakiss along with the MBC Digital artists. Through the MBC family Fanesha has also gotten to work with HFRAUD Brooklyn producer who produced the hot “NY MINUTE” track for Akon’s Artist French Montana and the legendary Jadakiss. You can also catch her on the song “Problems” Featuring Twista.Recently she got the opportunity to open up Damon Dashe’s Bluroc Festival on June 21st, 2010 at the Brooklyn Bowl for Headliner “Curren$y”.
