About Me
It would be a sad mistake to let the rapidly aging moniker of "hip hop" color who and what you think GrindCity is all about. Their songs are not a warmed-over reiteration of the all too common stories of struggles in the community. We've seen, heard and lived that and longed for more. "More" comes in the form of GrindCity, a clear and ringing voice, not unlike that of a church bell on deserted streets after a snowstorm. These men, born at opposite ends of the earth, bear witness and invite us into their truths of celebration, sadness, anger and hope. This is a band whose songs feel deeply inside a world that tries its best not to.

This is our Band, there are many bands but this band is our's.This is our sound, their are many sounds but this sound is our's. We vow to luv our craft, respect our fans & protect GrindCity at all times foreign & domestic. We shall present ourselves with high controlled energy & with an authoritive musical purpose. This is our sound & this is our struggle. One sound-One band.We are GrindCity!
You can be my friend if...

It was the best experience of our lives... We were fortunate to have been chosen to open up for "Living Colour" for 4 dates in Sept. "09." The Birchmere" (Alexandria, VA). It was the first night and "Living Colour" are doing Sound check when we pulled in. What a sight and what a sound.. and this is just SOUND CHECK!!! LoL.. This is when we all talked to every member about how hype we were about being on the tour for the selected dates that we had.

Me being a singer.. I've been… Continue

Yo family... It was a blast to be in the NYC last weekend.. We would like to thank all of ya'll that came out and supported and had just a great damn time. The spot was a lil different from what we were use to which made it even more cool. There was a sushi bar and a BIG ASS Buddah statue that took a lot of money from people without even asking.. Now that's Pimping.. Pimping!!! LoL.. We will be back in NYC on Feb. 12th @ 9:00pm @ Sullivan Hall.. All of our friends are telling us that this is a… Continue
