Occupation:

Community Health Organizer. That title, which actually means nothing, is supposed to tell you that I do health education and promotion at DeWitt Clinton High School in the Bronx. I focus on nutrition and community gardening, sexual reproductive health, and promotion of the school based health center.

Jimi Hendrix and The Band of Gypsies, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, John Coltrane, A Tribe Called Quest, M.I.A., Vampire Weekend, Kanye West, Common, Lupe Fiasco, Joanna Newsom, and much much more.

Favorite movies:

She's Gotta Have It and The Royal Tenenbaums. I love most documentaries also.

Favorite books:

Mama Day by Gloria Naylor. A little ditty about a Southern Transplant in NYC. It is thick with magical realism.
