About Me

My name is Joy Habeebah Houston. I'm a professional visual artist. I'm born in New York City of United States on August 4th, 1985. before I was born, I had a older brother of my mother's side but unfortunately, he died at four but I do have other brothers and sisters on my father's side. Also, I have a older cousin, she is like a sister to me and a best friend. my father give my middle name,''Habeebah''. Habeehad is a Islam word for ''beloved child''. I'm not a religious person at all because of due to politics and the media but I'm spiritual. my favorite religion is Wiccan. A couple of years late...At age of ten, I discover my talent by doing visual art. I been doing art even since. At 18, I gradute from the Heritage school(high school) in 2004. After I gradute from high school, I stay home with my grandmother because my grandmother has been very ill since I was 11 yrs old and I take care very well. In 2006, I enrolled into a study at home course called art instruction schools. the school is at Minneapolis, MN. I know one of artist- a newspaper comic artist, Charles Schulz, The man who made the peanuts gang and Snoopy the dog was a student of their. I did everything in that course to become an better artist. the hardest I did in the course is fashion designing and portrait and face drawing. I did well in the couse and In september of 2009, I gradute from the art instruction schools, it takes me about 2 years and two-thousand dollars of it, which my mother pay for me as a christmas present. my goals are going to back to school and studying digital media arts and continue art.
