ok so i'm posting this here because i'm pretty sure he wont see it. umm. so i'm really confused. my neighbor told me my guy friend likes me. but i think she's just says that about all my guy friends. she said nolan liked me and that were not doing chemistry hw. i'm like haha. i'm taking chem over the summer remember? he's my lab partner. and then she's like oh. ok, well i dunno kinda thing. i'm like whatev. i dont like him like that. he's a sweet guy but he's on a diff level i wouldn't feel good to adjust to. i know str8 up i'd hurt him, confuse the fuck outta him with misunderstandings. he should date marta. i told her he likes her but he doesn't know how to say it. she's like how do u know... i'm like i know. i can see it...but apparently only with other ppl. now on to my confuzn.so when i had an old friend from like literally the first day i got to bakersfield almost 2 yrs ago, came to chill, she was all quizzin me. and i'm like nah dude. he's just bored, its summer. but its chill tho. and it totally was chill. i was actually taken aback a bit. but it was so comfy i just rode with it....so now, after kissing* last night, i'm really confused as to whats going on. i'd like to think it was the alcohol but...i'm pretty sure it wasn't) but it really could be. maybe beer goggles. ugh i'm so silly. nm. fuck this post. out.. feels dangerous by the flame. i dont wanna get burnedSee More

About Me
SUPER BRIEF:I grew up in a mixed, but predominantly white community. My parents were prejudice of white people, so i rarely had friends over. I would pretend to listen to reggae, since we're Jamaican, and sing r&b pop lyrics while my headphones were playing Bush, and Stone Temple Pilots in my ears. Despite the bigotry around me i managed to make my own decisions and take ppl on an individual basis. it wasn't until after i discovered my attraction to males of the opposite race, did the racism become apparent. it took twenty years, of being myself, for my immediate family to realize i'm never going to change, that its not just a "phase." i think of myself more as a shepard than being the "black sheep." This experience, Afro-punk, truly has awakened and refreshed me to be more comfortable with myself and know that I truly am not alone. It feels really good.

so i realized. and i probably said this before. but as i go on in life that things become more clear than they were before. interracial relationships are easy if the male is black. but if the female is. then there will be problems. well in my case that is. i've come to realize that the dating part is not a problem, its just the part where the guy does not want u to be his girfriend if ur black. thats just what has been my history and i have just recently come to accept it. so i'm just reminding… Continue

epiphany

Posted on November 24, 2009 at 1:30am 0 Comments

well i just had this epiphany. from all of what i learned in my history class. and recently listening to rap music on the side has actually reinforced this distinction. the reason that i have such problems with men is because of the foundation that the united states of america was built on. all throughout history, the colonization of european immigrants to america have been and always will be white. and not just white, but its actually an ingrained belief that the white race is superior. and… Continue

i've noticed that since i've lost weight and now i'm the ideal size 2 and sometimes 5, but healthy. guys dont seem interested in getting to know you as a person. they automatically think that if u look pretty that you will be a booty call. wtf?? is it so fucking far fetched that there are some women out there who want something more serious? who respect their bodies. who dont treat it like something that you pass around?? please tell me that there is hope out there. cuz i'm loosing faith in the… Continue

Hi! My name is Jay B. Walker A.K.A. Zyyro. I am an artist, activist and director in film and tv who left the security of working in TV in NYC to keep my sister's ATL based non-profit alive. .A passion for change fuels my life. It fueled my sister's life too. She was a Doctor, Classical Singer and a Filmaker Educated at Howard University. A true Renaissance woman.

From Medicine to Music to Movies.....she did it all and started a non-profit in ATL to create excitement about learning through teaching film production. She supported it out of her pocket from 1997 til passing away in April 2008. I am attempting to keep her dream alive and continue making "CHANGE" a reality. I need your help though.

The logo and pics you see are of the 1st edition of my "CHANGE SHIRT" COLLECTION. A black vintage t-shirt that celebrates this new day and time. We've made a drastic change in Washington...we can make a drastic change in the world! I am attempting to do my part.

I am selling the "CHANGE SHIRT" at www.jetfuelforrevolution.com. The first one is limited to only 2000 pieces and will be a collectors item.

THE CHANGE SHIRT MAKES CHANGES!!! The next limited editions will be offered in other colors. I would appreciate your support by buying one for you and friends as gifts...or just spreading the word.

The name of the non-profit is MADE4YAYA, standing for: MUSIC-ARTS-DRAMA-EDUCATION-4-YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULTS.
Your purchase is tax deductible.

MADE4YAYA is a 501C3 non-profit corporation. For more info contact me.
WHOLESALE AND SALES REP OPPORTUNITIES ARE AVAILABLE!

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED!
