Detroit native, Michael Monford's musical interest began at the tender age of 4 years old when he began going through his fathers jazz and R&B albums. This continued throughout his early childhood and into his teen years as he began to absorb Hip- Hop culture.
Once the love for playing and studying the saxophone began, he then began to study privately with jazz legend Teddy Harris, Jr.
He is currently recording his sophomore CD entitled "The Cloth I'm Cut From", scheduled to be released Spring 2013. Michael will also be touring around the USA with the play entitled "My Brother Marvin" by Zeola Gaye, February until June 2013.
