Greetings and Salutations! I'm Erica, but most call me MissE (run together like Missy) or just E. I just turned 21 and I'm repping good ol' B-more in the boonies of Reisterstown.
I like catching movies at the Charles, crepes, wearing Lolita clothing, history, flailing wildly aka "dancing", breaking into song at random moments and going to roller derby matches with my mother and seeing her scream for blood. In a nutshell, I'm kind of a dork, but it's cool.
I'm a bit of a hermit, both irl and online, but now that I'm 21 (a real adult...) I'm really trying to get out there and be social a bit more.
You can be my friend if...
-you understand the whole the "Golden Rule" thing: Seriously, it's really starting to get on my nerves how people decide to be real asshats on the internet because there's a screen between them and their target.
-you are not homophobic/biphobic: I'm going to come right out and say it. I am a bisexual and no it is not a phase and I am not in denial. Go somewhere else with that whole "You are going to hell" stuff.
-you do not mind the ruffles/lace: Comes with the territory.
In short, have an open mind with me and I'll have an open mind with you.
I'm now on recovery at Dollar Tree. This place fucking blows. I need a new job.
Also I'm a Public History major at Stevenson University. I can't believe I'm finally a senior.
I'm really all over the place as far as what I'll listen to. Everything thing from Malice Mizer to Morrissey. The Guess Who to Every Move a Picture, Patsy Cline to Rasputina.
Right now I'm listening to Cradle of Love by Billy Idol.
Dear God...I don't know, but off of the top of my head...Evil Dead, The Ginger Snaps triology, the Candyman Movies, Vampires Anonymous, Idlewild (I have huge crush on Andre 3000), Meteor Man, Beauty and the Beast, Amelie, The Wave, Six String Samurai, The Addams Family movies except for Reunion which I try very hard to forget exists, Grave of the Fireflies, White Oleander, House of Flying Daggers, Robots, Mulan, Swing Kids, TNBC, Breakfast at Tiffany's and pretty much any Bollywood movie I can get my hands on.
Salem's Lot by Steven King (the only vampire book I've ever liked)
Shimotsuma Story by Novala Takamoto (so much better than the movie imho)
Off the Map by Hib and Kika
His Dark Materials by Phillip Pullman
A Dirty Job by Christopher Moore
Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carrol
The Portrait of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde (my favorite book)
Dangerous Angels by Francesca Lia Block
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams
She's Come Undone by Wally Lamb
The Beautiful World by Keiichi Sigsawa
It's Kind of a Funny Story by Ted Vizzini
Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett
The looking Glass Wars by Frank Boddor
A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray
Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
I also read quite a few of manga/graphic novels as well my favorites being:
Godchild by Kaori Yuki
Hellsing by Khota Hirano
Doll by Mitsukazu Mihara
Battle Royale by Koushun Takami & Masayuki Taguchi
Rose of Versailles by Ryoko Ikeda
Y the Last Man by Brian K. Vaughn
Dark Realms *cries*
Gothic and Lolita Bible (both the english and japanese versions)
KERA and KERA Maniax
I don't read a lot of magazines.
Favorite TV shows:
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit
Danny Phantom reruns...
The History channel, Travel and Discovery channels in their entirety because I am a nerd with hardcore wanderlust.
Gemini and Dragon for those of you who use the Chinese zodiac
Nope. Don't want any either. I don't mind being around others' children though.
