About Me

Miss.MelodySuicide
New Jersey native, Melody Suicide is a fusion of blues, R&B, rock, and hip-hop laced with vibrancy of playful vocals. Her earlier influences where taken mostly of the influence of her parent's time (Motown, Soul, 50's R&B).
Growing up, exposure to hip-hop was as natural as breathing. Through her own pursuit of expansion MelodySuicide sought out 60's and 70's musical society of that time, moving on hardcore, heavy metal, to even then whole afro-punk movement.
Miss.Suicide's music pursuit also bought her to true artist like Josephine Baker and Eartha Kitt to name a few.

MelodySuicide said, "I knew that music was my calling for the most part of my natural life. What confirmed it is when I was in the USPS and saw a stamp of a man with my uncommon last name McPhatter with a microphone in front of his face. I came home and told my parents and asked who it was and they told me it was my second cousin Clyde McPhatter of the Drifters. From that point I tried to learn all I could about him. That experience was awesome because I saw myself in him."

The love and passion for freedom of creativity has been a driving force in MelodySuicide's musical pursuits. She hopes that one day she will be a music innovator and contributor to what she call, "A NEW WAVE EXPLOSION!"
