About Me
I am a 32 year old black man with dreads who likes to listen to metal/goth/techno and generally rock and roll. That tells you how much I fit in.. I'm looking for friends that have more in common with being black and not fitting into the stereotypical hip hop image that is all over and so alienating for people that don't fit into that sort of thing.

things i dont get about life

Posted on February 8, 2014 at 1:35am 1 Comment

I hate being so isolated. I've felt that way forever but I think it has finally gotten to me. I hate not being around anyone that can relate to me. I'm 32 and its another year feeling the same as I always felt. I live in an area where there's not one damn black person around. And even if I lived near another black person I'm always called 'white' for listening to rock music. Wearing rock tees would breed snickers in the past. I can remember it now making my first…

I hate how this site is setup regarding the blogs section!

Posted on April 5, 2010 at 5:26pm 0 Comments

This may be my opinion, but totally hate the way the blog section is set up. If you use a mobile phone you cannot get access to the blog post link and post. It's bad for me, bc I do not have a working computer and use my mobile phone everything. I wish Afropunk.com would do some thign about it. It pisses me off and I feel disconnected from the Afropunk cultured and silenced. We're already silenced enough as black people, before the black subculture comes in. The last thing I need is another… Continue

I don't understand this blog setup.

I had a hell of a time trying to post a blog thru my mobile phone's medianet and it was like as if I was trying to find the dead sea scrolls or something. It drove me nuts!

The dead awakening of the hopeless and hollow

Posted on January 11, 2010 at 3:30pm 0 Comments

The crows, the maggots and the vultures feast on the dead, hollow carcass of the past decade. The tears have been soaked into soil. The pain has subsided, for now. The previous days have been gut hollow; in the gallows they rest in peace. Six foot solution deep in the ground all the putrid memories of past failures and frustration. The sunshine of a new day opens its arms towards us. The lingering residue of hope fogs through the windows like dew. After a decade of misery, alas, we're alive… Continue

WE RUN POPULAR CULTURE
WE ARE BIGGER THAN YOU HATERS
AND THIS MOMENT IN HISTORY
IS BIGGER THAN US
YOU NEED TO BE DOWN
AND BECOME LOVERS
BECAUSE LOVE IS STRONGER THAN HATE

AND NOT THE DESTRUCTION
OF US ALL
OBAMA-VISION IS ON
WATCH IT AND DON'T BLINK
YOU WILL SEE THE PAST
AND THE LESSONS IT'S TAUGHT US
YOU WILL SEE THE PRESENT
AND WHAT IT HAS WROUGHT US

Hi! My name is Jay B. Walker A.K.A. Zyyro.
