Showtyme aka Staci Brown, was born and raised in Baltimore Maryland, her home, her love. She found her love for music at a very young age singing around her home at the age of four. Her grandmother very actively involved in the church saw her talent. Not long after that, she had Showtyme join the youth church choir where she sang for many years.
After entering grade school Showtyme sang on her school choir at Montebello Elementary School #44 under the direction of Ms. Beatty. There she had the opportunity to sing at local nursing home and hospitals around the Christmas season too bring joy to the elderly and sick children who couldn’t be home for the holidays. That brought her great joy that she continued that until she promoted to the sixth grade.
In middle school she sang for another three years under the direction of Ms. Alexzine Camble in the Young Voices. There she also learned how to play the African dance and drums. She also did a lot of volunteering and took part in the docent program at the Baltimore Museum of Arts. She graduated from The Stadium School in the top ten percentile of her graduation class with the passion to peruse music and vocal performance.
Showtyme was accepted into Baltimore City College High School where she then sang on the choir for four years under the direction of Ms. Linda R Hall. Within those four years she was blessed with the opportunity to travel to Spain and Italy to compete and share gospel across the world. Singing on with the Chamber ensemble she was able to take her musicianship to the collegiate level and study all genres of music. By graduation singing in the choir helped her land a partial scholarship at Winston-Salem State University, where she studied music for one year.
