Hey, luv! Thanks for the compliment on my vid. I met Theo briefly back in 98 during their show at Coney Island High. She was a total doll. I remember when they were just getting started. They were like a breath of fresh air for all of us tattooed punk rock gals. The scene is always in dire need of more women rockers with guts, creativity and integrity. ALWAYS. It's awesome to see how they evolved and and became so beloved over these couple decades. I really dig your vids, by the way. I've been a diehard punk since the 70s, but I have a MEGA soft spot in my heart for 60s & 70s ska and reggae -- thanx in part to the sweet, elder Jamaican babysitter I had. Mama Blake had all sorts of rad Hortense & Alton Ellis singles, Norma Fraser, early ska/rocksteady from Bob and The Wailers, Desmond & The Aces, Susan Cadogan, Judy Mowatt and so much more. So good to see someone else who loves The Bodysnatchers (Rhoda is a QUEEN!) -- and Swiz!! I was just thinking of Shawn today -- I remember the demo he cut with Dag Nasty. I remember those days and being really proud that he was out there doing his thing in hardcore. It was good to see him out in front again with Swiz. I just put a vid up today of Dag Nasty's first show back in 85. I came up in the Chicago punk scene, but I tried to stay tuned-in to what was going on elsewhere. Like most, our scene had its troubles with diversity and meathead frat-boys and aggro skins, but whether we were punks, skins or rudies...our splashes of color were there. I hope things are going great for you in San Diego. It's cool to bump into you in this forum. Now I've got the sudden urge to look for videos for a couple of my favorite songs by Susan Cadogan and Norma Fraser. Hope you have a great week ahead.
