I love post apocalyptic movies, but hate apocalyptic movies. I have a lotta movies.

Favorite books:: lately I have been extremely caught up in this series telling the stories of historical black women.
The book is called "In Praise Of Black Women" It's a four part series
Part 1: Ancient African Queens
Part 2: Heroines of the Slavery Era
Part 3:Modern African women
Part 4: modern women of the diaspora
I have only read volume 2 and I'm in the middle of still reading volume1

Favorite Magazines:: I have taken a liking to BRM (beyond race magazine)

Favorite TV shows:: I have recently become an netflix junkie. In which I am now a huge fan of LOST.
I also like public access television. there is this show Afro-Pop, that showcases short films taking us to different areas of modern africa through the eyes of moderns black americans experiencing africa and also the same for modern africans and they way they are experiencing america. The ultimate cultural exchange. it's an awesome show

So I just finished watching the nonsense that is Freaknik:The Musical.

Though, there were times when I found the movie to be stereotypical, offensive, and a tad bit rude. I swear it could have been worse. I think I am becoming relaxed in my old age. Although there many things I could have ranted and raved about, I thought why waste my breath. Plus I was munching on cheddar popcorn, who’s mad when you have cheddar popcorn?

I have had my fill of cold this winter. And I am more than stoked that I can leave my house with my arms exposed.

It's really gonna be something when I can walk out with my legs out. I have vowed because of the harsh cold this winter in which I was forced to buy a coat, and more than one pair of boots,wear long johns and heavy sweaters I would not complain about the heat this coming summer. I felt like I was going to soffercate under all those clothes.

I live in jacksonville Fl. And I was in Fye and seen a flyer for a goth prom this saturday april 25. at first I didn't want to go. Because the only friend I have that listen to music close to that lives in Philly. but after giving it some thought I decided I would go. I asked my fiance' to go with me but he said no.
