Hi Vito well met.
Regards
Hardwired
Good to hear from you.
No I haven't seen the movie Atlas Shrugged. I had heard a while back that it was being made but that it got canceled or something. It's not surprising that the media hated it. White liberals can't stand Ayn Rand. Before I joined AP I joined Gothic-net. ( Which turned out to be a horrible experience. They don't like goths of color) I mentioned Ayn Rand there and unleashed such hatred for the woman and for me for liking her that it was totally unreal. After the clowns got through tearing into me then another member started another thread entitled "Speaking of Any Rand" and they talked more shit about her!
Yes I am a fan of Frank Lloyd Wrights buildings. I like gothic buildings too. I recently returned from Baltimore. They have a lot of old gothic churches and buildings there. The next time I'm up that way I plan to take a camera and spend a day photographing some of the buildings. I'll probably see if I can get a shot of Poe's grave too.
Atlas Shrugged is a great book. I'd love to see the movie.
Pleased to meet you.
First all-black goth rock band? I'm down with that. I love goth rock and was into some of it long before I even knew what goth was. I just liked music with what I thought of as "spooky rhythms. Siouxsie's Spell Bound made me a life-time fan, Roxi in it's prime, Eno and Bowie's darker moods as well.
But now that I am a goth and have checked out goth music I am an even bigger fan. (Suspiria's Dance Floor Tragedy is a quintessential goth rock jam_ their can be no argument.)
I see that you are an old head. Do you remember a record called Dinner With Zach? It was made by a late-night TV, horror movie host, I think the guys name was Zachery Tailor. The song was cool as shit though and funny in the corn-ball way of such late-night horror TV. I still remember a few lines from the silly song_
There once was a werewolf who tore his own hide
He wanted to find out just what was inside
He ripped and he tore until his hands ran with gore
But before he found out, he died!
The record had a danceable beat too, sort of Charlie Brown music_cool
Drop in any time.
