I like a lot of different stuff and rarely fit in anywhere. I've lived in four different states, but call California my home. I am going to school in New York right now.
I first got into rock when I was 10, and have been lovestruck ever since.
I'm pretty much a tomb boy and rarely get along well with girls, yet, my best friend is a girl and I go to an all-girl school, go figure. I don't really feel any animosity about being black and into rock, though I use to. Now, I just ignore all of that and have fun, but since I've never settled, I've never really been in a scene so I don't know anything about underground bands and such, just mainstream, which I think kinda sucks.
I'm more into metal than punk, and before metal it was grunge, but I still know very little about it.
So. I'm pretty much a baby when it comes to all of this, though I've been into it for 8 years now. I'm still open to any suggestions on bands, and would love it if there were any kids here that could show me where to go to have some fun, just no creepy shit. I'm also not a drinker, no drugs, and no smoking, don't care if you do it, I just aint interested.
You can be my friend if...
us cool, thats all.
As long as u don't bitch all the time, u like cartoons, and u can handle someone who's a smartass and legitimately can't help it, we can get along.
One's that I actually know a little something about:
Puddle of Mudd
red hot chili peppers
System of a Down
The majority of the bands I like, I know little to nothing about, or I'm still learning, so this will be a longer list:
Queens of the Stone Age
A Perfect Circle
Nine Inch Nails
Dead Kennedys (VERY LITTLE KNOWLEDGE HERE)
Rage Against the Machine
and these lists will probably change constantly so don't hold me to it
Really, there's too many to list, but here's a start
fight club (one of my top ten)
Clerks I and II
The Dark Night
Murder by Numbers
Naked Lunch (though I still don't understand it)
The Family Stone
Interview with a Vampire
Monty Pythin and the Holy Grail
South Park the movie
Oldboy(also in the top ten)
August Rush (though the ending sucks ass)
Children of Men
A Christmas Story
Old Nutty Professor
All the Hannibal movies
Look Who's talking (one and two, definitly not three)
All the Ocean's movies
Run Fatboy Run
V for Vendetta
Welcome to the Dollhouse
practical magic; only one I've ever read multiple times, and I want to read it again
Favorite TV shows:
angel the series/buffy the vampire slayer (Whedonite 4 Life!!!)
fairly odd parents
anything on the history channel, discovery channel, etc.
Degrassi (more than I will ever admit)
Cash Cab; trivia shows in general
can't think of anything else but I'm sure there is more
never started - too picky, too scared
none for as long as possible, but definitly in the future somewhere
