Emerging with new music for the first time since 2016, singer Maxwell has taken on a whole new tone and a particular political message in these turbulent times. Melancholic, but powerful, the short film visual for the single, entitled “The Glass House (We Never Saw It Coming)” pulls at the heartstrings with its powerful imagery and storytelling.

“As an artist I feel a responsibility to entertain as well as inform,” Maxwell said in a statement. “In the words of the great Nina Simone, ‘it is the duty of the artist to reflect the times’. If we are to leave the world better than we found it, we all have to come together, unified in love, for our fellow man and this beautiful planet that we all call home.”
