Whitewashing be gone, Black women have always been at the forefront of civil and human rights struggles. Ungrateful mofos still find ways to disrespect though (hey “white feminists”, fauxteps, “white liberals”, Trump voters! 🖕🏿)
Today we’re celebrating some of the most badass Black women who said NO to racial patriarchy and racial capitalism. Many of them are still doing the work today. Instersectionality, mass incarceration, racism are some of the topics they teach us so much about.
From the Black Power movement to the arts, they got us and we love them.
