- About Me
- The Skins are an infectious Brooklyn based rock band consisting of siblings Bayli, Reef, and Kaya Mckeithan, along with friends Daisy Spencer and Russell Chell. Formed in early 2011, the band started out by jamming, and eventually they decided that it was time to turn this into something for the public to see. The Skins have produced their own unique sound that have hints of the wrath of Black Sabbath, the rock of Led Zeppelin, and the pop of newer artists such as The Strokes. Having played their first show in June 2011, they have been on the rise ever sense.
The Skins have been making a lot of noise around the NYC and Brooklyn area that often get clubs to turn heads and ask for more. After a constant streak of 1 to 2 shows a week during the summer of 2011, when the band had first hit the public, The Skins made plans to take November off to buckle down and focus on more professional ambitions-- recording their first EP at Newkirk Studios in Brooklyn, which is making a lot of hype for the 2012: http://theskinsband.bandcamp.com/
