Well that's all Im going to say but let me know what you guys think so far about it.

"Why supporters of Issa Raye, Trayvon, & The Hunger Games should sit back, relax, & enjoy the racism"
Afro-punk member Nikki Lynette is a outspoken artist on a variety of subjects and recently has been attacked by a trivial online comedian who lost out to Issa Raye in 2012 Shorty Award for Best Web Show for her defense of Raye's win. I can't even begin to articulate the whole story so i'll refer you all to Nikki's blog,…

Isolation vs. Alienation
Im different because im apprehensive to going along with things i believe are wrong and standing my ground when the majority disagree with my beliefs. As a human being im sad and scared and confused. I guess wanting to fit in and be accepted is inherited but im not a puppet or a robot. i have free will, yet i still try to use it wisely and logically. right now i feel as if im better off alone.
i feel alone in my beliefs, in this world, and in this life. its a feeling that has…

My personal thoughts on The Hunger Games
Disclaimer: Before i begin this rant about my dislike of this film and its novels, I want to say that Im blogging this with the belief that it may offend and upset fans of the series and that i will most likely get ridiculed and persecuted for stating my personal beliefs.
Im not saying I wont except responsibility if I'm proven wrong in a civilized and respectful debate on the matter and apologize for any offense I may have caused. Even sol, if you dont stand up for something you…

Collective harmony & world peace begin with the individual
Sometimes you have to sacrifice personal luxuries for a greater cause. It isnt easy to give up what you personally enjoy for the benefit of others or the belief in your cause but if it were to end world hunger, homelessness, or even death, could a person learn to put down the remote, log off, volume down, and stand up?
I dont represent myself. I try to represent my cause. "Appearances can be deceiving" applies, and there is more to…

Queer Women Of Color Represent! Check Out New Dope Web Series 'The Peculiar Kind'
We love to hear from the LGBT voices of the community, and boy did we hear from them when artist collective The Artchitects released the first episodes of their new monthly web series 'The Peculiar Kind'. Should the "Sassy Black Friend" Have This Place in Hollywood?
If there’s one role that every struggling black actress has had to rely on at some point in her career, it’s the Sassy Black Friend. You know the one. She’s the character who seems to perpetually exist outside of the plot, a sort of one woman Chorus whose main purpose is to cast her eyes to the heavens in the most exaggerated of eye rolls, click her tongue, and make smarmy comments about what’s going on – while never actually being allowed to take part in what’s going on. There…
