Saul Williams' 'Volcanic Sunlight' Ready To Dazzle The US On 11.11.11

Don't be confused, this is indeed the album that came out in Europe a little while ago. The US release date for Saul Williams' 4th studio album 'Volcanic Sunlight' is this Friday, 11.11.11. Willams states: "Some listen to music to reinforce a mood, an idea of a time/place, to embody a mind-state, a lightness, to sharpen or dull an edge. I make music to jump off of that edge and explore. (...) Don't believe the hype- the outside world, that many of us have been taught to fear, is… Continue

Dear Jay-Z and Kanye West: What about us little guys? An open letter.

Independent record stores are cornerstones in many a music lover’s life and in most of our communities. In a download-driven world, there is an ease and nostalgia in purchasing music from a local record store from a fellow music dude, who can’t wait to chat you up about a must-have recommendation. The champs behind Record Store Day, as well as individuals, who insist on purchasing the music they love, continue to… Continue

Skunk Anansie's First Album In More Than 10 Years Out Today!

Described as a "rollercoaster of moods", 'Wonderlustre' is a mix of the band's signature intense songs with more mellow (yet still energetic) tracks. Skunk Anansie are relentlessly touring in promotion of the record, and chances are they are playing near you soon… Continue
