Hi guys, we would love to hear what you have to say about the future of the 'Occupy' movement and this proposal from Michael Moore. These ideas can be a starting point for a larger discussion. Let's see people power in action! Below is what Moore had to say:
"Where Does Occupy Wall Street Go From Here? ...a proposal from Michael Moore
Friends,
This past weekend I participated in a four-hour meeting of Occupy Wall Street activists whose job it is to…

November 2 was a National Day of Action for Occupy Oakland and the Occupy Movement. Occupiers across the nation held marches and actions in solidarity with our brothers and sisters up north and their general strike. A picture circulated around Facebook and Twitter of what looks to be thousands of people out in the streets surrounded around a Chase bank in Oakland. One little picture displayed such a powerful message. I wasn’t present, but later that night LA Occupiers marched to…

Around 4am early Sunday morning, myself and a couple other occupiers talked amongst ourselves about how we can improve the condition of our site and make it more welcoming. We were fed up with being kept up all night and people putting their own superficial selfish wants over the dire universal needs of the other activists. We organized a community meeting for 3pm on Monday. I went home later that morning and returned to the site after I was done with my classes for the day.… Continue

Here is Week 3 of AP member Griff Fuller's special report on the 'Occupy Los Angeles' protests against corporate greed: "I started the week missing out on a free Van Hunt show at Amoeba Hollywood. I went back down to Occupy LA. The crowd had grown, but concerns and doubts about stagnant actions in our movement grew with the crowd. I retweeted on October 16 a brilliant document titled… Continue

You all know we're not exactly big fans of BET around here, to say the least. However, we thought you might enjoy Lupe Fiasco and Erykah Badu's performance from last night's Hip Hop Awards. Mr. Fiasco's "Occupy" T-shirt drew a lot of attention (reference to Occupy Wall Street movement?), but we're also seeing what seems to be the Palestinian flag on… Continue

Since September 17th, a long occupation has been happening in NYC and is starting to spread all over the nation, and even bits and pieces of the world: Occupy Wall Street. There has been stirring among the people of America and the rest of the world that I think all of us can relate to in one way or another – hard time finding a job; college feels more like a bait and switch scheme titled “The American Dream” than a pass to bigger and better things; bills, loans and collectors… Continue
