He mixes Indie modular representation with hip-hop flava. He has a new mixtape out, I went to the release listen party, and it seems ok. You should all check it out!
He's some video of the man in action at the mixtape release party shot by me,… Continue

I'm still not recovered yet! I was all over the place going to concert and hanging out with random bands and staying out way past my bed time of 3am...most nights I barely beat the sun, yuck! all in all I had a fun time I got to see great bands and old friends from every where so I'll share what I seen with you.
"Excuse me? What did you just call me!" Is what I say when ever somebody just throws the N-word up at me. Obviously they didn't know I'm not a fan of the word and even less amused when they think its ok to say any form of it to me as a greeting. I'm bring this up because of a recent friend request on another social network by a band named, NIGGAZ WITH GRATITUDE, I though...."ok...humm they have a black power fist as part of there logo maybe its a social statement."… Continue
There at it again. Yes those NYC mavins of 80's through back are back yet again with a new skit. Now they not only dress 80's they perform 80's. I began seeing these dude a while ago in the industry scene of the city at all the cool kids parties, not the rap group, Cool Kidz - who have a striking similar approach to style - not that they jocking the Retro kidz but hey the Retro's are from NYC where that shit jumped off, dancing and wearing track… Continue
I love this dude he's just so...himself. He's an openly gay, dirty punk, drug coping Black ball of fun. The things that just pop out of his mouth are just crazy, no pun intended. Its refreshing to meet people like him and just go...wow. LOL. He's from cali and his in various bands including but not only limited to Gravy train
- Brontez and Gravy train at the highline ballroom.… Continue
Ahmed is a long time friend of mine and he's more than the black in in Of Montreal he's also Sinkane. I met him by chance during one year at SXSW kept in contact with him, even though I surprisingly already knew his sister on myspace and didn't know they were related. LOL. How random could that be that we met up in such a a far way place and have a connection.
Turned out he was also working for the Fader… Continue
He's a dancing Monstah! Local purveyor of Dance and musical enthusiast, vocalist, artist and party host Monstah Black is a lil nugget of what makes New York great.
"I dont try to shock or offend people with my music, but if it does ask yourself why!" - Rowdysuperst*r, These are word to live by for the London native.
After being in a band and coming to close to a deal but backing out. The young Rowdy was lost in the usual sea of "what do I do know". "I was really depressed and down about it",recalls Rowdy as he strolls next to me down a random street in the fading afternoon in Brooklyn. Its hared to see… Continue
- young Kelvin here is happy to meet you and to show you his vest, ala mr burns "see my vest" in 3,2,1 que music.
Man you gotta love NYC great bands all the damn time. I had a quite usual occurance of seeing another great, fantastic, stupendous band tear up a stage, hurray. LOL. No really Millsted is a tough as bear claws act, yet lovable like a school yard crush.
I love this band. I saw them one night at bitter end and they killed it. It was one of the dopest live shows I seen at the time in the city. I randomly found then on myspace and decided to check them out. I was amped to find they had this ragga vibe to their music, and along with a poetic/ hip-hop beat. The milti member band just goes out and kills it no matter who is in the crowd at there shows… Continue

You know who I'm talking about in the headline, "dat ol' hat" Amy "Any Booze in the house?" Winehouse. What she did at Glastonbury's music festival was nuts. No notes no sense. No idea where she is. Ok enough with the laughs but with such great talent what went wrong. Unlike Amy however V.V.Brown is'nt the pun to her own joke. Also from the LDN, london for you not in the know, V.V. has steadly been making moves all over her home town to the… Continue
