Better Late Than Never: Grace Jones' Album 'Hurricane' To Be Released In The US

It was about damn time! We got all excited to hear that Grace Jones was releasing a new album on September 6 (her first US release in 22 years). But in fact it's her album 'Hurricane', which was released in Europe in 2009. Great record, mostly produced by Ivor Guest, but also featuring the work of talents such as Tricky, Brian Eno and Sly & Robbie. Can't believe it took that long for a US label to step up to the plate. Good news: the US version will include a bonus CD with dub versions of the entire album. While we're waiting, let's watch, again, the brilliant video for political single 'Corporate Cannibal' and a powerful Live performance of title track 'Hurricane'. - Lou C-D

The title track from the album, 'Hurricane', produced by Tricky:

I am SO happy to hear this. No offense, but I'm really sick of thinking that GAGA created this originally crazy, shocking type performance and style of dress. That's be Grace Jones all day long..

I'm looking forward

VIntage truth from the Goddess. Cosmopolitan, urban, artistic, sonic, visual, ageless, boundless and delicious! All while being conceptually profound.
