We love to hear from the LGBT voices of the community, and boy did we hear from them when artist collective The Artchitects released the first episodes of their new monthly web series 'The Peculiar Kind'. Candidness and humor are on the program, but the issues highlighted are sometimes serious (hate crimes, safety, relationships, substance/alcohol abuse, lifestyle). "[Alexis Casson] wanted to create a fun yet informative unscripted web series", as collaborator and AP member Mursi Layne puts it. Check out the videos below and let us know what you think! -

Comment by Jordana LeSesne on March 28, 2012 at 1:43pm I am considering becoming a regular contributor but I do not want to over-commit myself if stuff with my band and other music projects begins to take up more time than it is so far (which it will i am sure).
So I recommended this site to a long time friend and very, very good blogger and speaker, Monica Roberts, aka the TransGriot.
I really hope she starts writing here. She is like an aunt to me.
Comment by Cindy on March 28, 2012 at 12:59pm I LOVE LOVE LOVE that this exists. I'm so interested in gender studies/ women's studies and you guys bring voice to all that and so much more. Your bringing perspectives to the forefront that we don't hear enough of. And I just like that I walked away pondering, that's a good sign. Your web series is profound without being dry, it engages the audience in a very intriguing way.
