... the other Black experience

How many centuries have we looked to the stars in hopes that someone is looking back? Someone that may be able to instill a true peace within us. Or better a true peace in all around us. From our fellow man, to the storms ahead, and wrath of the sea. An entity with all the answers, all the right words, and the perfect touch. Every tribe, race, and creed of people has had their own perception of this entity. Their own stories of creation and meaning. It still astonishes me that even before groups of people intermixed, when all races where separate, we all had this universal concept of “god” or “gods”. Yet whether it was one god or many, men have always longed for a meaning to their existence. People have always felt that emptiness within that urged them to look for more. From Christianity, Islam,Judaism,Buddhism,Hinduism, we all try to make meaning of this place. The one question many of us need to know, and the one you will never truly be able to answer indefinitely. But one must ask their self is this all a coincidence? Is everything from the trees, stars, emotion, perception, all of it a series of random events? And what if no one is truly looking back? From the corner of your room, to the edges of the universe, there is no entity that made you, cares for you, or anything else. No creator that loves you unconditionally, and no author of life. How would you feel if you knew that this earth and the people around were all that you have and no road lays ahead of death? That this one life is the only taste of existence you will receive and when its over, its truly over? Personally I cannot say without a doubt that this presence exist or ceases to. And this blog is not meant to endorse or disprove anything. No matter what our belief system everyone wants to fill as if they belong and matter. I hope it encourages people to keep searching. To keep looking, asking, and learning as much as you can about the world around you. Remember, learn all that you can and question all that you know. Sometimes the truth can be terrifying or liberating. Though I hope one day everyone can feel truly wanted, loved, cared for, and any other emotions that will make us feel so intensely grateful to be in this journey we call life.
