We are a pop-rock soul-influenced band that blends emotive lyrics, haunting melodies and catchy riffs!   I, Lachi, have been playing the NYC seen since 2007 and have been playing with a few of the guys in the current band for years now.  We have an abundance of new material and are locked, loaded and ready to shoot back into the studio and lay down some tracks!

After my past release "Lachi" put out by Fanatic/EMI received great press from Oprah Radio, CW11, The Deli, The Onion/AV Club and much more, I found myself spewing out more and more material.  The goal is to make music, not merely about ex-boyfriends, unrequited love or partying at a club, but about inner-growth, realness, acceptance of one's insecurities. 

My songs are inspired by life.  As a legally blind, black female that, let’s face it, acts white, is a tomboy and acts like she’s not blind, I’ve encountered an intense amount of resistance from the world around me. From racism to colorism, to you ain’t black enough; from sexism and genderism, to ‘What a bitch," and from "can’t you see that sign, it’s right there" to  "are you blind or stupid?’ All things that are said to me on a weekly, and often daily basis. My songs are all about growth, struggles, empowerment, poetry and strength.  A lot of it is to help me threw my own daily struggles, and I bring it to the band, and the band brings it to life.

You pledge would help allow us to bring this music to a global level as a polished commercially viable product in order to bring back music with a message to the mainstream and infect the airwaves with something different, something heavy, something positive.
