afropunk premiere: joburg future-soul duo kajama drop electric-folk ep ‘polarity prism’

March 14, 2017

Brimming with ethereal coolness that’s smooth like jazz, South African future soul duo Kajama’s new EP ‘Polarity Prism’ is a gloriously refreshing project. The South Africa-based sisters Nandi and Nongoma Ndlovu (daughters of traditional African folk musicians Themba and Bajabulile Ndlovu), combine elements of electronica with traditional rhythms and eclectic soul and turning into a dreamy, afro-folk soundscape. Do yourself a favor and give ‘Polarity Prism’ a listen, below.
