afropunk premiere: urban hard rocker bizzythowed releases confrontational track “life is here”

March 29, 2016

Bizzythowed’s big break occurred when his second grade teacher had him playing rhythm on the wooden blocks set. Fast-forward a few decades, Biz is now a guitarist for The Weeknd, and he has accrued much experience working in the studio with and writing songs for some of today’s biggest names in hip-hop. Distinguishing himself form his contemporaries with his diverse interest in both the sound of and technical elements of alternative genres like electronica, bluegrass, funk, etc.

His newest release, “Life Is Here” is a no-holds-barred hard rock track about stepping up and going after whatever you want and not wasting time before you do so. “”Life is Here” is one of the more personal songs of the project and one of the first songs I wrote when I started on this journey. It’s a song about not wasting your life away and realizing that time is constant. Time waits for no one[…] Personally its me kicking myself for basically wasting away my early 20’s partying in Miami and not focused on what I should have been and now I am trying to make up for lost time. Its about saying its okay to regroup but don’t wait or hesitate because the clock is ticking. These moments we have right here right now will never be the same even after a second. So make the best of your choices and time,” he tells AFROPUNK.
