AMUL9-The Music, The Message, The Mission

In a musical climate where hip-hop heads needed Jay-Z to pronounce autotune dead, it is rare to find music done from the mind, body, and soul of the artist(s) in a way that Amul9 does. A five-man band, Amul9 takes its listeners on a journey spanning humanity's past, present, and future, by way of its vehicle...KMT CORE. Recently, I was blessed with the chance to interview Zoser, lead singer of Amul9. He gave me much wisdom and insight on Amul9 and its philosophy.

Amul9, Kimetic for infinite hope, was founded in 2005 by Maryland-born, Virginia-bred, lead vocalist, Zoser and bassist, Bilal. The band has expanded to include Craig on drums, guitarist, Lenwood, and Vito on drums as well as vocals. More than anything, this group of Nubian brothers are focused on knowledge of self, the importance of community, and paying homage to the ancestors. Amul9s style of Kimet(KMT) CORE, or NUB ROCK are often compared to the likes of Rage Against the Machine, Bad Brains, and System of a Down. However, there is no denying that the group has carved out its own identity.

It is that unapologetic self-awareness conveyed in the music that allows Amul9 to amass a multicultural, global artist. Their music speaks of the backwards and contradictory nature of the world and challenges its listeners to experience this life in a real way by chipping apart the facade that is our current existence on this plane. Drawing from the original Israelite's and ancient Sumerians among other indigenous people, Amul9 bravely breaks down barriers of poisonous thoughts that restrict the minds of the masses.

Album Coming Soon...This Waking Reality! Big Shouts to Zoser and Amul9...Peace
